Come to the Northside of beautiful #Naptown and celebrate the release of Rusty Redenbacher’s ‘The Tinkerer’ with a great show on January 28. Special guests will include Sleeper Cell Crew, Grey Granite, and Mr. Kinetik & Eratic.
Cover is 10 bucks, which also gets you your CD of ‘The Tinkerer’ three days before it is available to the masses online and in record-stores. (So basically, you’re paying for a dope show and getting this highly anticipated release for free. Win.)

Some of my #PUNKROCKTHISSHIT ethic at work. Use what you got when you feel the inspiration. Make it fly. Be creative.
I love making these videos for my websites and such. I actually enjoy the process and over the last three years have taught myself a lot. If you use your imagination, a lotta the time, you can make some flyness happen.
All the videos on my page are shot and edited by me. I don’t make a big fuss about it, but people have given me some props for my editing eye lately, so there’s my horn…and I’mma tootin…I was shooting stuff with everything from the onboard camera on the laptop to the Bloggie (DON’T DO IT.) and this one was shot entirely with an iPhone. I edit everything in iMovie. Simple, man.
I attempt to make the videos match the mood of the songs as closely as possible. If I can, I avoid lip syncing (although I’ve learned to sync the audio and video very quickly; I just like the usage of visual images and movement instead of standing there rappin or singin)
Anyhow, man…this is my latest creation. I was listening to this in the car and the ideas just hit me. I shot about 17 minutes of footage, sat down and edited it, and six hours later, I can show you this.

Wednesday, June 22nd, we’re going back to the spot where a lotta this started for some of us, The Melody Inn, affectionately known as ‘The Mel’
Expect greatness. The Mel has long been a bastion of good times and is actually the spot where alpha.live and Rusty first began to talk (and spar). Weekly battles used to be held there and many ill rhymes were spit. Great times were had and the foundation for more than a few of #Naptown’s best spitters was laid at this little bar that was giving hip-hop a forum in #Naptown when other folks were acting scared.
We’re bring as much of the Alley as we can, baby. We’re rocking with Brad Real and Wiz Kids and looking to really get busy; our man alpha.live should be rolling in hot with the ‘Soul Cinema’ goods, Mr. Kinetik will probably play material from ‘Sounds Of Soul’ and definitely will be joined by Rusty Redenbacher to do tracks from ‘The Professor And The Hustler’ . Expect to see F.I.R.E. (Feeray) and Son Of Thought bring their unique brand of chaotic wisdom to the stage…
…and the brothers from outta town, E Dot Spencer and A. Skywalker are checking their schedules.
