I’m streaming these tracks because I’m geeked up. Y’all have been great to me during the whole process of creating these records…for years. I’m excited and pleased to share.

I’m working with six of the illest cats I have had the pleasure to listen to and work with…the future is bright cuz we want it to be and we work for it.

Brand-new for you and hot off the mastering whatchamacallit, I want you to hear the voice of the magnanimous Naptown Slim. 

I produced the bulk of the track about three weeks ago, wrote some #BARS yesterday afternoon, recorded em, mixed it down, ran it over to @Defame1982 for the BANGS…and here you have it. I give it to you. 

I have it placed in the sequence of ‘LOWER’. I knew as soon as I finished it where it needed to go. I really hope y’all enjoy ‘LOWER’ as a full album. It’s truly a double album, man. I’m happy with what I’ve chosen to make the cut and I think it flows really well. I think it’s gonna rock your face.

#NaptownSlim got #ThePackage - The Man, The Myth, The T-Shirt…and more.

Had to give y’all the inside scoop on how my people at PRN GRAPHICS got down for me. Man, they rocked this out. I posted the first ‘Naptown Slim’ image and people told me…

“THAT is a T-SHIRT….and I WILL BUY IT.”

Wow. 

OK.

So, I ran the design over to my good friends at PRN Graphics. They made sure I got what I wanted, offered advice as to what would be best, and made sure that I was all the way in the loop, even during production…and turned that order around QUICK, babay. 

Fun buncha kids over there, man. Great working with them. I’ll be doing it a lot more, I hope…

Check PRNGRAPHICS out, man. They do great work…and they do all kindsa printing. Holler at em. They’re at 54th Street, off the Monon Trail in Indianapolis, right behind VIBES MUSIC, man!

Order some shirts and come over to VIBES and get some tunes.

…then go across the street and buy some fresh produce from Locally Grown Gardens.

Naptown Slim got ‘The Package’…and I have a limited number of these joints. They’re all hand-packaged and numbered by me, each one with a personal message from your buddy, Russ. They’re all different, folks. I didn’t sit there and write the same thing on each one. I had to have some fun with it and make it worth your bread, man…and I did.

Had a great session today with another one of Naptown’s shining lights, The Max Allen Band. 

Max and I have been trying to connect for a while now. We’re both hustling hard for what we do. Max has been recognized as a coooold-blooded guitarist since he was about 13-14 years old. The Max Allen band was actually voted as ‘Indy’s Best Rock Band’ in 2011’s Nuvo Readers’ Poll and their live shows are incendiary. Truly gifted and grooving like a big dawg, the crew asked me to be on a track called ‘You’re Gone’. I was glad to finally be able to get this one done. I think y’all gonna jump to this one.
